Facebook Page Auto Inviter Chrome Extension
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome Extension. Our extension operates locally within your browser and is designed with privacy in mind.
1Introduction
Welcome to Facebook Page Auto Inviter ("Extension", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome Extension. Our primary goal is to provide a tool that automates inviting users who have reacted to your Facebook Page posts, while respecting your privacy.
This Extension operates locally within your Chrome browser. It interacts directly with the Facebook website (facebook.com) and Facebook Business Suite (business.facebook.com) pages you visit, based on your actions within the Extension.
2Information We Collect and Process
The Extension needs to access certain information locally to function, but we do not collect or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers. Here's what the Extension interacts with:
- Website Content Data: The Extension reads the structure (DOM) of the Facebook pages you have open when using the Extension. This includes text and attributes of elements like page names, post content snippets (to identify posts), reaction counts, lists of users who reacted (to find invite buttons), and the status of invite buttons. This processing happens entirely within your browser to identify where to click.
- Configuration Data (Stored Locally): To provide functionality and save your preferences between sessions, the Extension uses Chrome's local storage (
chrome.storage.local
) within your browser profile to save:- Scanned Page List: Names and IDs of Facebook Pages found via the Multi-Post "Scan Pages" feature.
- Selected Page ID: The ID of the page selected for Multi-Post automation.
- User Settings: Chosen delay times (Next Post Delay, Invite Button Delay) and the Maximum Invites setting.
- Current Tab URL: Read for the "Single Post Invite" feature to pre-fill the URL field.
Crucially: None of the website content data accessed (page names, post content, reactor lists, etc.) or the configuration data stored locally is transmitted to us or any third-party servers.
3How We Use Your Information
The information accessed and stored locally is used solely for the following purposes:
- To Enable Extension Functionality: Reading website content allows locating correct elements for automation (scanning, clicking "Invite", navigating).
- To Store User Preferences: Saving scanned pages and settings locally remembers your choices for future use.
- To Operate the User Interface: Displaying data in the popup/dialog and pre-filling fields relies on local data access.
4Data Storage and Security
- All configuration data is stored using
chrome.storage.local
within your Chrome browser profile. - Data is subject to Chrome's security measures.
- We do not have access to this locally stored data.
- No data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
5Data Sharing and Third Parties
- We do not share any information accessed, processed, or stored by the Extension with any third parties.
- The Extension interacts directly with Facebook. Your use of Facebook is governed by their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
